Of course it’s illegal to gamble online in the US, but if you’re customers are in different countries, is it illegal to be ran on US soil?

It’s not illegal to gamble online in the USA, for the player.
If you run an online gaming site on US soil, you cannot accept wagers from American clients. As I understand the law, it is legal to operate a gaming site if your customers are in foreign countries.

I started reading more about this and it seems the online gambling is not illegal , the gov’t passed laws about how you can send and receive money for it. You can’t use CC cards etc. and the wire law..hmm?
There is so much legal stuff involved, now I’m confused. A professional in this area could better answer this..sorry

And the state of Washington has passed a law making it a felony to play on-line poker in that state.
