What should I do since my son used my bank acct for an online gambling site?
Question by Gfdg Dghha: What should I do since my son used my bank acct for an online gambling site?
Hey everyone, my son used about 200$ worth for an online gambling site called pokerstars. Luckily he used an echeck to pay. So if I were to put all my money to a diff checking account, would the echeck just bounce, and be forgotten? His account will probably be banned but that’s fine.

no, if you take all the money out of the account, the check will bounce, then your bank will charge you the original 200$ plus the overdraft fee. probably like 25 dollars. if you dont pay they will send it to collections, and report it against your credit. and you will not be able to open any kind of account at any bank(they all report to each other on those matters)

Your idea is just fine but one must pay that echeck first before trying a different checking account because your credibility is at stake.
One possibility is to create another checking account as what you are thinking right now. The echeck will not be forgotten, so you must pay it.
