I thought the GOP always said people know what to do with their money better than government does??
Now they’ve made a criminal out of joe sixpack for betting on Mississippi against the spread??

Because those poeple who gamble obviously don’t know what to do with their money, and when they lose everything, those of us who do know what to do with our money will have to bail their behinds out of debt.
Government DOES have a duty to regulate activities that have been determined to be “detrimental” to the individual.
Don’t suppose you’ve read many of the findings where husbands thought they were “Joe Poker” and LOST family money for food, clothing and so on. In other words, TOO many clowns thought they could handle it and couldn’t.
Want gambling, go to Nevada or Atlantic City. They even offer FREE transportation.
Small government or something.
Cite your sources, please. I don’t recall a vote in Congress about this issue. In fact, isn’t gambling a STATES RIGHTS issue, and not a FEDERAL rights issue?
