Depends, is he playing games of chance or is he playing poker. Poker is a game of skill that can be beaten, especially online. Online poker offers so many deposit bonuses that if you can just stay even or even lose a little bit the deposit bonuses will make up for all loses and even make you some. I played on Party Poker for 19 months and never lost a single time in any month. The lowest I finished with was profit. The highest was 0. I averaged about 0 a month though.
If he’s playing slots and stuff like that then get him to stop and go to a REAL casino.

He could be just playing to pass time. Poker is just a game and can be fun like any other game if its disciplined and not disruptive. BUT…
Gambling for money can be an evil addiction. The word “internet” doesn’t make it less dangerous. Personally IMO the internet has increased gambling addictions across the world.
But your anger has to be justified by your husband’s actions. If he is losing money that affects bills/family priorities or he’s neglecting his husband/father duties, then I would say you would be justified to be angry.
It offers excitement and an adrenaline rush if he is betting on sport “In Play”. It also makes him more aware of sporting events and adds a further interest to even the most boring sports!
It is an enjoyable passtime once it does not cost too much in eithe time or money.
Poeple gambel online for various reasons.
They may be bored or looking for excitement in their life, or simply may not have access to any casino’s.
Would you rather your husband go behind your back and either gamble or something else?
With regards to “what kind of person does this habit?”.
Well, the kind of person you are married to!
